Hernia Repair

Hernias most commonly occur in the groin, but can occur anywhere on the abdominal wall. A hernia is a bulge through a weak area of abdominal muscle, usually containing a part of the intestine. Groin hernias make up 75% of all hernias and are most common in men. A hernia repair should be performed before the hernia causes symptoms, such as pain or obstruction.

Dr. Moore performs Robotic-Assisted Laparoscopic Surgery to repair groin, umbilical, and abdominal wall hernias through 3 small incisions. Patients generally go home the same day of surgery and are off of pain medications in a few days.
